Got back from Gamescom, got Greenlit :)
I hadn’t even had time to follow up with all the lovely people I met at Gamescom, when I got this lovely message:
Thank you everyone for your support! <3

Exciting news: MODSORK has made it into the official selection of the Indie Game Contest they hold at the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival September 16. -25.
Exciting times: You can now vote for MODSORK on Steam Greenlight, your support is much appreciated! ๐
The world’s biggest game show is right around the corner and MODSORK will be part of it! ๐ Thanks to the lovely folks from Indie Arena indie developers from 18 countries will share a cozy megabooth in hall 10.1, booth A-031.ย For now, here’s the teaser trailer:
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since the first time MODSORK was playable at a public event, last year’s Fantasy Basel. Of course I’ll also participate in this year’s edition of the event next week to celebrate this anniversary. Yay! ๐
It would be great to meet you there (again)! Once more there’s an exciting line-up of Swiss indie games, so make sure to check out our corner in hall 1.1.
In other news, I’m currently working on an exciting new power-up system as well as more fundamental changes that will allow me to create new game modes and music more efficiently.ย If all goes well, the basics of the new power-up system will be ready for Stunfest in Rennes (FR) later this month.
After Indie Games Play in lovely Lyon last month, I’m happy to announce MODSORK will be at the International Games Week Berlin. Starting with some days at the cool Quo Vadis Conference‘s Indie Showcase, I’ll later join some fellow devs who also backed Indiecouch.org on Kickstarter and we’ll have our own tent at the awesome A MAZE festival!
As someone who travels a lot, it was great to see the fantastic folks from Indiecouch reach their campaign goal in an impressive end-of-campaing rally. It’s even nicer that supporting them gave me this opportunity to exhibit at A Maze. ๐
This week brings a premiere: MODSORK will be playable at two events at the same time! ๐ Which is kinda fitting for a game about ambidexterity… I’m off to Amsterdam’s Casual Connect to be part of the Indie Prize Showcase. My friends, the Couch Developers will attend the Central European Game Conference in Vienna and have MODSORK on an extra laptop with them, while I do some cross-promotion for their game Sam, the Sumbot.
Even more excitingly, the game now finally features a special ability I’ve wanted to implement for a long time. I’ll probably write a devblog entry about it soon.
To round things off, I’ll visit the lovely folks at the Screenshake festival in Antwerp, am curious and already looking forward to it. Incidentally, the new ability I implemented comes with its share of screen shake… ๐
After a recent visit to London, it’s already time again for the chance to play MODSORK at a game event: In the Ludicious Arcade of the Ludicious Zรผrich Game Festival, from January 21st through 24th.
I’m also thrilled to announce that MODSORK has been selected to feature in the Indie Prize Showcase in Amsterdam next month.ย ๐
See you there!
I wish you all the best for the coming year, it’s going to be an exciting one with the release of MODSORK! ๐
